There is no shortage of books that cover the topic of space travel and the endevours of astronauhts in space however Dead Astronauts is something special and a compelling read.

Dead Astronauts is a brilliant story written by author Jeff VanderMeer containing a lattice of complex and intriguing story line that keeps the reader in constant wonderment.

The novel starts of as a story quite similar to a traditional John Wayne western but with a Sci Fi twist set in a desolate landscape. The star of the book is Grayson, a woman who has become to only person to have survived a mission to deep space. Then there is Chen who is a mysterious working for a corporation simply called the Company. Finally there is Moss, once known as Sarah, who is a composite organism.

The story begins with the three characters hunting their enemy, an agent and bioligist called Charlie X who works for the Company. Their ultimate goal is to destroy the Company itself.  Charlie has a few failed experiments that have become helpers for the trio in their hunt. These are the blue fox, the botch and salamanders.

As the Astronauts battle the company through the time their aim is to discover more about the Company and importantly, how it all started. This makes for an interesting and original story line.
