The Kapiti Miniature Railway is a mixed-gauge (5 inch and 7 ¼ inch) club track. The Railway hosts a collection of live steam, internal combustion and battery electric locomotives.
The track is a double loop, and includes one station, two tunnels, two spirals and two viaducts, in a run of about ½ kilometer (600 yards). A planned extension will take the railway to a second station within sight of the beach and Kapiti Island. |
